Obituary for Carol J. Potti

Wife of Robert M. Potti, Funeral Director Emeritus at Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes

Carol J. (nee: Daffner) Potti, age 83, of Madison passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born July 19, 1938 in Painesville to William and Marie (nee: Youhas) Daffner, she had been a lifelong area resident. Robert Potti married Carol Daffner in June of 1957. Carol could be seen often helping her husband Robert at visitations and funerals at the Potti Funeral Homes.

She was fond of sailing & boating, racing their sailboat Pieces of Eight and spending time with her friends at Mentor Harbor Yachting Club. Carol enjoyed playing golf and tennis. She spent many winters in Florida, sailing the Caribbean and watching sunsets with Bob.

Carol’s passion was her family and spending time with all of them. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Robert of Madison; children Robert A. Potti of West Palm Beach, FL, Edward D. Potti of Concord, Lisa (Terry) Profughi of Chardon and Thomas M. (Holly) Potti of Madison; grandchildren Blake M. Patterson of West Palm Beach, FL, Chloe N. Patterson of Chardon, Ivory Potti of Madison and Josh (Mindi) Bayless-Fahey of Madison; great-grandchildren Ella and Zoren Bayless-Fahey. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Delores Jackson and William Daffner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church in Madison with burial to follow at North Madison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021 at the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison, OH.
