Obituary for Robert Clayton Carter

OFDA Past President, Owner of Robert C. Carter Funeral Services and Funeral Director at John Quint Treboni Funeral Home

Robert C. Carter, age 57, died unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Born March 22, 1964, to the late Bobby N. and Helen (Palmer) Carter, he was raised in Bucyrus, OH, until moving to Columbus to further his education.

He was a graduate of Franklin University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He later went on to acquire his Master's Degree in Communications. He founded Robert C. Carter & Associates Funeral Services in 1986 and served alongside fellow funeral directors for 35 years through his company and as the Managing Director of the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio. His associations in the Funeral Industry include his past positions as President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, President of the Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, and President of the Central Ohio Funeral Directors Association (District 14).

He is survived by his siblings Richard Carter, Deanna (Jack, Jr.) Crase, and Tony Carter; nephews Tyler Carter and Trey Crase; nieces Alexa, Jordan, and Amanda Crase; and many cherished friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-nephew Wyatt Michael Crase.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1420 Grandview Ave., Columbus, OH, 43212.
