Program Summary:

Join us for an insightful presentation by Mr. Czup, covering essential topics related to organ and tissue donation processes. Delve into organ procurement organizations and Lifebanc, gain insights into donor registry status, and learn about changes to donor criteria for 2024. Discover successful embalming and reconstruction techniques, navigating regulatory changes and understanding the products and chemicals involved. Explore ethical dilemmas surrounding organ donor transportation and the responsibilities of funeral homes and Lifebanc. Mike Czup graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 1993. He went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Sciences in Cincinnati Ohio. Mike was a Co-Owner, Funeral Director, and Embalmer for Zaback Czup Funeral Home in Ashtabula Ohio from January 1997 until March 2002. Then in 2004 became the current Owner and Director for Czup Funeral Services Trade Embalmer. In 2015 Mike went to work for Lifebanc where he currently works as a Funeral Home Liaison and Staff Embalmer.  In addition, in 2021 Mike became the Owner and Employee of Fleming and Billman Funeral Home in Ashtabula Country Ohio. Mike has dedicated numerous years to the funeral profession, gaining much knowledge that he is now able to share with others in the industry.
