Received into the Catholic Church prior to his marriage, Bobby was a devout Christian (and Catholic). Bobby, a graduate of Bucyrus High School in 1957, and then proudly served our country in the US Air Force for eight years retiring from the Ontario (OH) plant of General Motors "Body by Fisher" after 33 years; he later worked as a limousine driver for the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, and retired again!

A devoted citizen of Bucyrus, he served the youth in the community as a coach in the city Minor League baseball association and later served the citizens as a council person for Bucyrus City Council, First Ward, for many years. He was a member of the Bucyrus Airport Commission; and a member of the Amvets Post 27, Moose Lodge 669, American Legion 181, and Elks Lodge 559. Also a Member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Bob was a stubborn man who loved his wife, four children and five grandchildren; and he never missed a chance to be at any one of his grandchildren's sporting events; they loved seeing us there and always waved to us. He also served as a mentor for ten years at the local schools with children and a proud member of the Democratic Party. He could hardly get around, but he loved riding his mower keeping his lawn in order. He never wanted to be a burden to others.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 760 Tiffin Street (Bucyrus, OH 44820), where his family will receive visitors one hour prior.
