Rosaria M. "Roro," "Rose" Santucci

OFDA received word this morning that there will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church, preceded by a 10:00 a.m. service at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483, for Rosaria M. "Roro," "Rose" Santucci, 74, who passed away Saturday afternoon, July 26, 2008. Roro was OFDA District # 15 President Chelsey Santucci's grandmother and the sister of Mary D. Rossi.

Rosaria Santucci was born December 1, 1933 in Collelongo, Italy, the daughter of Alfred and Clorinda Corradi DiLoreto. She was a 1951 graduate of Warren St. Mary's High School.

Rosaria "Roro" belonged to St. James Church. She was an honored member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary as an active play lady where she was in charge of decorating and fund raising to purchase new toys for the pediatric ward. Roro was a charter member of the Loving Mothers Child Conservation League (CCL), and she belonged to the Rosary Club and social card clubs. Roro enjoyed cooking, going out to eat, and shopping, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a homemaker, and care giver to her mother and sister.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Nicholas "PaPa," "Nick" Santucci, whom she married Oct. 10, 1953; a son, Chelsey Charles (Connie) Santucci; a daughter, Clorinda "Rinda" Ann (Kenneth) Vesper; a son, Dr. Alfred "Scott" (Debra) Santucci; nine grandchildren, Chelsey Nicholas, Jamie Marie, Nicholas Scott, Mikala Korin, Marauka Cole, and Anna Rose Santucci, Nicole Marie Rishel, Nick Markovsky, and Lacey Vesper Christina; one great-grandchild, Davin Christina; and two sisters, Mariannina DiLoreto and Mary D. (Peter Jr.) Rossi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Nicholas DiLoreto.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Summer Enrichment Program for Handicapped Children of Trumbull County, 2202 Niles Cortland Road, Cortland, OH 44410.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel and the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home.
