Michael Mallchok, Sr.

OFDA received word this afternoon that Michael Mallchok, Sr., 85, died Saturday, March 22, 2008. Mr. Mallchok was the owner of the Mallchok Funeral Home in Parma since 1961.

He was the beloved husband of Sophie (nee Sedlacko) for 62 yrs., married on May 29, 1946; loving father of Michael, Jr. (Cathryn), Susan Karla (Paul), Jean Moran (James), Jane Leathers (Timothy), Mary Jo Mallchok and Christine Robey; devoted dzedo of Constance Mallchok, Matthew Mallchok (Meagan), Joseph Mallchok and Theresa Balint (Matthew); Elizabeth Dapp (Jason), Andrew Karla (Mary), Margaret Gadzic (Denis) and Stephen Karla (Hali); Kathleen Moran, Christopher Moran, Patricia Moran and Emily Moran; Rachel Lloyd (Charles) and Sarah Leathers; Vincent Viglione and Sophia Viglione; and Brandon Robey; cherished great dzedo of Charles, William and James Dapp; Bailey, Matthew, Jr. and Piper Mallchok; Daniel Gadzic; Landon, Cohler and Mackenzie Jo Lloyd; and Sydney Balint; son of Dan and Mary Mallchok (nee Gulick) (both deceased); dear brother of Rosemary Rosh, Helen Novak, Daniel Mallchok, Mary Rohal, Nicholas Mallchok (deceased), Harry Mallchok and Richard Mallchok; dearest nephew of Helen G. Kozak; uncle and great uncle of many.

Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27 from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00 8:00 PM. A Prayer service will be held Friday, March 28, 2008, at the funeral home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Church at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Mallchok Family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to his beloved St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Road., Parma, OH 44129.
