Notification of Death - Thomas H. Theller

OFDA received word this morning that Thomas "Tom" H. Theller, age 65 of Lancaster, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at his residence. He was a 1958 graduate of Toronto High School (Ohio), attended the Ohio State University, Ohio University and was a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Tom was active in funeral service beginning at age 17. He owned and operated Theller Funeral Home in Lancaster from 1972 until 1986. At that time, he merged his business with the Sheridan Funeral Home where he remained active until his retirement in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary Anne (Sanders) Theller; daughter Lynne J. Kitchen and her sons J. Matthew and Jeremy Kitchen, sons Joel T. (Angela) Theller and child Samantha Hartshorn, and Tom (Erica) Theller II and children Leo & Samone McGee, Calvin, J. Keaton and Andrew Theller; brother Nils E. (Shirley) Theller; several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog "Beethoven".

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Grace United Church of Christ, 1185 Pleasantville Rd., Lancaster. Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday, May 12, 2006 at Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 S. Columbus St., Lancaster and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church.
